Crema Coffee House celebrates half a decade and looks to future with plans for growth
Based on Borogate, it was taken over by Rachel Harrison on 25 June 2012.
It’s undergone dramatic growth over the past three years, as in 2014 the property next door became vacant and the decision was made to expand Crema to incorporate the two buildings.
In August 2015, following major building work and a full refurbishment throughout, the doors re-opened, offering double the amount of seating across two floors.
Rachel Harrison, owner of Crema Coffee House, said: “We’ve come a long way and I’m very proud of our achievements.
“The doubling in size of the shop was a huge undertaking, but absolutely the right thing to do.
“It’s allowed us to expand our menu to include breakfasts, we’re able to cater for larger groups, and with the increased space in the kitchen we are also now able to offer more choice for those with food intolerances.
“Looking to the next five years we won’t be standing still, and there’s some exciting plans in the pipeline.
“We have always planned to open some evenings to offer visitors and locals alike an additional option for a light evening meal and this is currently in the planning stage for this summer.
“Permission is in the pipeline to get seating in the rear courtyard and we also hope to get an alcohol license so that customers can enjoy a glass of wine with their lunch.”
