The Blend speaks with Daniel Clarke, newly appointed managing director of Italian espresso machine manufacturer La Cimbali, about his new position and the future of the company.
Since working for the company in several roles, predominantly within the sales team for the past 12 years, Daniel was promoted to managing director of the UK strain of La Cimbali, the company’s second largest market after Italy. “I was so pleased when I found out I was being given this fantastic opportunity,” Daniel exclaimed.
When asked about the brand’s direction moving forward, Daniel tells us: “We will be working closely with our clients in all sectors, to find out customer demands and what the latest trends are, allowing us to react and evolve to market changes.
“We plan to further develop our service division, with many clients now using new facility systems.” Dan continues. “Garry Cooper has been appointed as service operations director and will head up our efforts to develop this area of the company.”
As training becomes a prominent offering for several companies in the coffee sector, La Cimbali intends to keep this area a step above the rest, with a training academy that is open to all, not just La Cimbali clients. “Our training courses provide unbiased information about the entire market and shares our thorough knowledge of the coffee equipment industry.”
Exciting news continues to come from La Cimbali, as they prepare for the launch of both a new bean-to-cup machine and a new grinder – both release dates yet to be announced.
