Rebel Kitchen becomes a Certified B Corporation®

Plant-based brand recognised for commitment to higher standards of social and environmental performance. The responsible food brand, Rebel Kitchen, is proud to announce that it has been certified as a B-CorpÔ. Rebel Kitchen joins an alumnus of forward thinking companies, with a combined revenue of $36bn, who are using business as a force for good.

Co-founder Tamara Arbib, says: “Rebel Kitchen chose to become a Certified B Corp so that we could stand up and be proudly measured against the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.”

B Corp certification is essentially to sustainable business what Organic certification is to food. B Lab, the non-profit that certifies and supports B-Corporations, conducted a rigorous evaluation of Rebel Kitchen to determine that it meets the comprehensive performance standards required to qualify.

“As a conscious business, we will always be committed to sustainability in everything we do. We believe in a future where companies not only compete to be the best in the world but also the best for the world” continues Tamara.

Rebel Kitchen will join other Certified B Corporations legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their employees, suppliers, community, consumers and environment. The Rebel Kitchen impact assessment results are publicly available here.

“Rebel Kitchen was founded on the principles of challenging the way businesses in the food space are run – pioneering healthy business practices from the head office team through the entire supply chain” Tamara concludes.

Rebel Kitchen produces a range of organic and sustainably sourced coconut-based drinks and snacks which are sold in over 20 countries around the world.
